Raczej nie kryję się z miłością do białych koszul. W sumie to jestem w tej kwestii dość ostentacyjna. Wspominałam Wam o tym tutaj. I tak jak zimą zakochana byłam w czarnym golfie, tak wraz z przyjściem cieplejszych temperatur, praktycznie nie ma tygodnia, żebym nie miała na sobie białej koszuli. Wierzcie mi, że są dni, kiedy naprawdę walczę z sobą, żeby nie założyć jej kolejny dzień z rzędu. Z tym też związanych jest kilka moich najnowszych pomysłów, o których mam nadzieję, już niedługo będę mogła napisać, i moje ostatnie, cotygodniowe wizyty w second-handach (ilość białych koszul w szafie gwałtownie wzrasta).

Kiedyś koszula, zwłaszcza biała, była wyłącznie bielizną, dzisiaj stanowi samodzielną część garderoby. Tak, Drogie Panie, po raz kolejny podziękujmy cioci Chanel – prekursorki podbierania rzeczy z szafy swojego chłopaka, która nie omieszkała zauważyć, że owinięcie się białą bawełną jest znacznie wygodniejsze, niż wiązanie gorsetu.

Dziś biała koszula jest trochę jak kameleon – może być ekstremalnie oficjalna w eleganckiej wersji (jak przykładowo wersje projektu Caroliny Herrery – ideały!). Za to z podwiniętymi rękawami, trochę wciągnięta w spodnie, a trochę nie, będzie Twoim najlepszym przyjacielem na snucie się po domu (moim jest). Może być ucieleśnieniem zwrotu ‘klasyka’ albo można ją zdekonstruować. Pozwala być bezkarnym w jej noszeniu. Zezwala dosłownie na wszystko!

I’ve never really hidden my love for white shirts. You could’ve realized that here. Actually, I’m quiet ostentatious about it. And maybe you remember that I fell in love with black turtleneck during winter. In spring, white shirts have conquered my heart again. I don’t think there has been any week recently when I skipped mixing white shirt with other garments. Trust me, I sometimes have a serious problem to tell myself: ‘don’t touch it! You wore it yesterday. And the day before!’. Also, white shirt is what some of my newest ideas are connected with and the reason why I started to visit some second-hand shops regularly. Oh yes, the amount of this kind of tops in my closet successively increases.

Years ago, white shirt was no more than underwear. Dear Ladies, we need to say ‘thank you’ again to our aunt Chanel who was first to steal some stuff from her boyfriend’s closet (including huge cotton shirts which she used to find much more pleasant than corset).

Nowadays, white shirt is a chameleon – it may be extremely official in its elegant version (look at those gorgeous designs by Carolina Herrera – pure perfection!) or rather cool with its sleeves rolled up and caught in pants, not entirely though. In this version, it may be your best friend while hanging around your place during afternoon (mine is). It can be an embodiment of what ‘classic’ is but also might get deconstructed. Allows to remain unpunished while wearing it. Simply lets us to do anything!
